Moving Organizational Culture Forward

See how Dairy Farmers of America refreshed their culture

by Haworth, Inc.

Established in 1998, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) is a leading milk marketing cooperative that had outgrown its leased office space in both size and purpose. The company needed a new space with room to grow—a modern office to engage employees, attract talent, and reflect the collaborative culture they wanted to promote for the future of their organization.

Treating the project as a long-term investment was the key to creating the type of space—and culture—both DFA leadership and employees would find engaging and sustainable.

With input from DFA employee committees, the new office space was created based on four primary objectives that play into the company’s newly refreshed organizational culture:

  • Bringing people together
  • Future-proofing the space
  • Tailoring workspaces to employee needs
  • Paying homage to farm families

Find out how DFA was able to meet these objectives through workplace design, and see some of the spaces in the Haworth Dairy Farmers of America case study.
