Sustainability Stories

Haworth’s Closed-Loop Manufacturing Process

We've pioneered a new manufacturing process, which involves continuously recycling and reusing the raw materials for some of the Fern chair’s black plastic parts. This sustainability milestone is the first in our industry, reducing Fern’s carbon footprint by 10%.

Our Most Sustainable Office Chair

We designed Breck with circular design concepts to minimize its environmental impact. Each chair consists of 53% recycled content and is 94% recyclable at the end of life. Breck has the lowest carbon footprint of any task chair in our portfolio at just 60.9 kg CO2e. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
