April 27, 2023 – Haworth’s fantastical ads took top honor in the Interior Design Magazine Metaverse Awards Product Category and the LoveITDetroit project was a finalist in the Manufacturer Branded Environments category.
As technological innovations continue to expand the possibilities of design, experience and interaction with the built environment is stretching beyond the physical. There are limitless
opportunities to create boundary-breaking concepts. The Haworth ads and LoveIT Detroit project were recognized by an esteemed panel of Interior Design jurors for shaping this space.
Haworth’s fantastical ads highlight an array of new and iconic products and brands. The ads seamlessly translate between digital and in-person worlds – featured on the back cover of Interior Design magazine, as Haworth HQ/showroom art, on web pages, as animations, in trade shows, as invites, on social media and as a calendar.
LoveITDetroit told the story of extraordinary Made in Italy products, allowing visitors to use personalized avatars to explore the exhibit, interact with brands and discover themes of Italian excellence. The physical space, curated by Roberto Palomba of Palomba Serafini Associati PS+A, was replicated in the metaverse by Wedoo – an Italian technology company with U.S. headquarters in Detroit – in collaboration with Amazon Web Services.
