December 13, 2024 – Best of Year from Interior Design magazine named the Pantaya Light as winner of the Pendant Fixture category and 4SPACE as honoree in the Contract Partition + Wall System. Now in its 19th year, Interior Design’s Best of Year recognizes the most noteworthy products and projects of the year, honoring designers, architects and manufacturers from around the world.
Pantaya, a new light designed by Haworth and Patricia Urquiola for Pablo Design, is a modular, gentle lighting system inspired by the lightweight construction of camping tents. Digital knit sleeves are made of 100% recycled polyester encasing a lightweight aluminum exoskeleton like a sock, seamlessly concealing the frame and electrical components. The light’s shape resembles that of a canopy with integrated LED technology that allows light to pass through the mesh knit structure, illuminating the entirety of the structure. Pantaya offers pendant, wall and ceiling designs, providing both ambient and direct lighting, a versatile option for office, residential or hospitality settings.
4SPACE fronts, a stick-built system, was designed by Haworth Design Studio in collaboration with modus ID. This curated single-glazed wall system features slim lines and seamless transitions, framing space rather than distracting from it. With a curated offering, 4SPACE is delivered from stock, enabling shipment in 20 days or less. As a component-based wall system, 4SPACE fronts combines vertical and horizontal rails, posts and other elements which are cut and assembled onsite to seamlessly align with the buildings interior architecture. Haworth is honored to join 2024 Best of Year winners and finalists, especially partners BuzziSpace, GAN, JANUS et Cie and Poltrona Frau.
