Katie Chapman

Katie Chapman is the Sustainability Manager at Haworth with 18 years in sustainability leadership and circular design in the built environment. She leads Haworth’s global circular economy and circular design strategy, guiding the integration of sustainable materials, product transparency, and responsible product end of life. She also works closely with clients and the architecture and design community to turn sustainability ambitions into operational outcomes. Previously, Katie advanced product transparency and green chemistry programs at Haworth and managed multi‑company sustainability initiatives and standards leadership at Duro‑Last. Her leadership is grounded in collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to measurable impact.

Katie serves as Chair of the Michigan Sustainable Business Forum and contributes to BIFMA working groups and committees. Her projects and initiatives have garnered recognition from Crain’s Grand Rapids Business, Metropolis, and Fast Company, and she frequently moderates and participates in panels on circularity, sustainable design, and climate strategy. Katie holds a BS in Sustainable Business from Aquinas College and maintains a Six Sigma Green Belt.
