This stacking side chair is a reinterpretation of a classic Emeco chair from 1951. The new version retains Emeco's DNA—simple, strong, utilitarian—with a modern look inspired by luxury car design. The hand-brushed aluminum frame is combined with a seat and back produced from recycled plastic, making 1951 suitable for outdoor use. Complement with stacking 1951 stools.

1951 Side Chair Product Sheet

Dynamic Revival

The design partnership with BMW resulted in a new chair that is 100% classic Emeco, but with a more dynamic stance. The seat and back are made of recycled plastic (rPET), from waste plastic bottles. The recycled aluminum frame is handmade using the same 77-step process as the original Navy chair.
