DesignLab is an annual initiative that celebrates new perspectives and artistic visions in the world of design. This collective explores and experiments with different approaches to form and materials.
This year, we’re expanding DesignLab and will be hosting the exhibit in Suite 399 at THE MART. Grab a cup of coffee and explore our new space, which will also feature past DesignLab exhibits and a new speaker series.

Uroboro – This striking serpentine sculpture pays homage to the Chinese zodiac sign. It is an interpretation of the classic ouroboros, symbolizing renewal, transformation, and the concept of infinity.
Resin-Bonded Sand Chandelier – Resin-bonded sand begins with waste material or with as little waste as possible and utilizes common casting sand.
Listening Chair – A single user can sit in this chair in four different positions, allowing opportunities to direct their gaze and posture toward others in the room.
Mare Coffee Table – A true homage to nature, it highlights raw elegance and timeless artistry. The hand-carved onyx surface subtly echoes ocean ripples.
Beam Lounger – Inspired by the use of structural supports found in architectural buildings, the designs balance a sense of rigid industrialism with utility.
Last year at NeoCon, we hosted Fernando Ramirez and Justin Beitzel from Common Object, Sam Klemick, and Bill Carroll for DesignLab. They embraced creative circular design concepts to produce their work.
In 2023, we launched DesignLab and embarked on an experimental journey with 5 emerging artists and designers.
