Responding quickly to changes around the world is a major portion of national security. This requires all aspects of the space to support the readiness of the people and technology.
Casual lounge areas are located around the building to allow impromptu meetings, a quick lunch, or catching up with a colleague.
The Air National Guard must be able to adjust workstyles and workspaces as the world and their mission changes; Haworth systems and furniture allows them to do that.
The Air National Guard's vision of “communicate, coordinate, collaborate” was
also vital to the new design.
85 percent of the new space is now devoted to open workstations, conference rooms surrounded by glass, and key personnel are centrally located. The offices naturally encourage communication.
