About the showroom design
Our 2010 NeoCon showroom reflects a significant refresh. Planning the update for the 30,000-square-foot facility in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart began in 2009, and Haworth embarked on this exciting journey with the help of renowned architect, Clive Wilkinson.
Haworth’s desire to design and showcase interactive spaces that foster collaboration came together beautifully, and we are pleased to celebrate our creative partner, Clive Wilkinson Architects.
We met Clive and his team during a collaboration on the Macquarie Bank project in Sydney, Australia. Their experience with agile and interconnected spaces, and their vision for infusing energy into spaces through the use of impactful graphics and color resonated with our leadership.
“Clive Wilkinson’s specialty in activity-based environments and design that embraces the future fell neatly in line with the purpose for our showroom this year and Haworth’s story of the organic workspace,” says Haworth Director, North America Marketing, Ray Kennedy. “The whole team came together, and in short order, completely transformed the Chicago showroom. That in itself is a compelling story of the collaboration between our internal group and Clive’s team -- and the fact that they achieved such a different aesthetic with a wonderful blend of existing and new product also highlights the compelling adaptability and integration of our products.”
