Steffen Lipsky

Born 1975 and raised in Riesa / Germany, Steffen brings a global design point-of-view to Haworth. With over 10 years of industry experience in Germany, Italy and now North America, he has worked for independent design firms Horn & Majewski / Dresden and Studio & Partners / Milan where in addition to a broad spectrum of projects, he was involved in the design of Haworth products including Compose, Enclose and Patterns.

Steffen joined Haworth in 2006 as Senior Industrial Designer and is based out of Calgary / Canada. He is responsible for leading the design and development of wood casegoods in North America for the Haworth Design Studio, from product strategy and initial concept exploration, to production. In his role, he serves as design liaison to customers, suppliers and architecture and design firms on behalf of Haworth.

He received his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design at the University of Technology in Dresden / Germany.  Steffen is fluent in German, English and Italian and is an avid mountaineer.
