THERE’S AN APP FOR THAT

Haworth organic workspaces app debuts at iTunes

HOLLAND, MI – September 15, 2009 – Haworth, Inc. recently made showrooms viewable from anywhere in the world with an application (app) for iPhones and iPod Touches called Spaces.  Downloadable at www.haworth.com/mobile for iTunes users and at no cost, the app provides virtual visits to Haworth showrooms in Chicago, New York, Holland (Michigan), Calgary, Dallas, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Frankfurt (Germany), London, Madrid, Prague, Hyderabad (India), Mumbai and Shanghai.

The virtual tours on the new app show how Haworth’s global spaces bring the company’s values, knowledge and engineering to life.  The app provides opportunities for users to view and share product information, get maps to showrooms and call showrooms.  Haworth’s app debuted at NeoCon 2009 in Chicago and is currently being rolled out in global showrooms and company headquarters.

At NeoCon 2009, Haworth also launched electronic product information via a 2D Bar Code Scanner, NeoReader.  By assigning bar codes to products (see example below), showroom visitors can, with a quick download of the NeoReader software at www.get.neoreader.com, take a photo of the bar code with a mobile device and have Haworth electronic information immediately available.  NeoReader is also available through the iPhone App Store.

This NeoReader bar code connects to Zody information.

These creative tools are part of a technology push for Haworth that includes a new website at www.haworth.com.  This new site provides versatile and intuitive navigation, utilizes improved visual aesthetics and aligns content with user tasks.  Haworth.com continues to reflect the same rich understanding of workplace knowledge, beautiful design and elegant function as the company’s furniture and organic workspaces.  Additional improvements to the online catalog, surface collection and user experience are coming soon.
