HOLLAND, MI – December 1, 2009 – Haworth, Inc. received the prestigious iF 2010 product design award for LIM – Light in Motion – from The International Design Forum in Hannover, Germany. The company also received finalist accolades at the World Architecture Forum, FX International Design awards, Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Year (BOY) awards, International Design Excellence awards and Spark awards.
LIM is a multi-purpose, multi-task LED light with elemental structure and multiple reconfigurations for office, institutional, hospitality and residential applications. The refined and elegant light - a simple aluminum extrusion profile – was designed by Pablo Pardo of Pablo Designs and Ralph Reddig of Haworth. The light’s magnetic and pivot platforms enable 180 degree rotation and easy adjustment. Introduced in June 2009, LIM has also won a 2009 Silver Best of NeoCon and is a finalist for Interior Design Magazine Best of Year (BOY) and FX (see below) awards.
Since its inauguration in 1953, the iF design award has existed as an enduring, prestigious trademark for outstanding design. This year, 778 products were chosen for best design from 2,486 entrants. The jury selected winners based on design quality, processing, innovation, functionality and ergonomics in 16 product categories.
