HAWORTH EUROPE - NEW PRODUCT & ORGANIC WORKSPACE EVENT

ESSEN, GERMANY – October 22, 2009 – Haworth, Inc. celebrated new product introductions at an organic workspace event in Essen, Germany on October 19th and 20th.   The event celebrated new product introductions of System 59 office seating, the Kiron desking system and a new colour and materials collection, as well as European introductions of the Very multi-task chair and LIM light.  Haworth products from all over the world – such as Planes, Zody, System 89 and Tutti - were also incorporated into the event’s design concept.

The Haworth European event also included forums for dealers, clients and the A&D community on the company’s new approach to organic works spaces and a variety of knowledge topics.  Attendees heard research findings and held discussions about attraction and retention of generation Y, sustainability certification for green building and organizational cultures.

The event was held at the Zollverein School of Management and Design.  The school was designed by architects SANAA Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa and is part of the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex.  Redeveloped over 20 years, the complex is a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization World Heritage Site and an anchor point on the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
