HAWORTH’S NEW & ENHANCED PRODUCT INTRODUCTIONS
HOLLAND, MI – June 15, 2009 – Today, Haworth introduced four new products and numerous product enhancements at NeoCon 2009, winning three silvers and a gold for Best of NeoCon. The new products are: LIM, a LED light; TecCrete, redesigned raised access flooring; Planes height adjustable tables; and Compose enhancements, systems with desking and benching applications.
LIM - LIM (Light In Motion) is a multi-purpose, multi-task LED light with elemental structure and multiple reconfigurations. It meets multiple lighting needs for many applications, including office, institutional, hospitality and residential. LIM has a refined elegant design - a simple aluminum extrusion profile that can be easily machined. The light’s magnetic and pivot platform enable 180 degrees rotation as well as easy adjustment. The small bases and attachment methods enable greater workspace flexibility in application, placement, intensity levels and attachment methods. LIM is the market’s most flexible and comprehensive LED lighting solution and won a silver for Best of NeoCon 2009, Lighting – Task/Desktop Furniture-Integrated.
TecCrete - With refined design, universal applicability, a proprietary concrete and steel composite structure and 58% recycled content, TecCrete builds on 25 years as the access floor that doesn’t feel or look like one. The new, refined exposed concrete surface offers a unique aesthetic that is beautiful enough to leave bare. TecCrete can also be covered with modular carpet, laminate, vinyl, rubber or almost anything. This product creates unique visual opportunities, including use in planter boxes, reflecting pools or stained to form floor patterns. Bare or covered, TecCrete can now be used throughout the entire facility, providing a single access floor platform for work and learning environments, as well as computer and utility environments. It has been redesigned to meet the varying loading and finish requirements. TecCrete received a silver Best of NeoCon 2009 for the Raised Flooring category.
Planes height adjustable tables - Planes height adjustable tables offer clean design, best-in-class ergonomics and an array of color choices on the broadest selection of adjustment mechanisms. The shared aesthetic meets user and application needs and, although specifically designed to coordinate with Haworth’s recent developments in architectural interiors, the clean, modern design blends well with all product settings and spaces. The tables include the option of six mechanisms, including incremental, crank, torsion and three ranges of electric. There are sit-sit and sit-to-stand height ranges, from 22”-35” incremental to 22”-48” dual-stage electric. Designed specifically for the most current ergonomic standards, these mechanisms meet ANSI/HFES 100-2007 for height range and knee-space clearance. More importantly, Planes height adjustable tables are designed for specific needs such as low back pain. This product was awarded a Gold in the Height-Adjustable Worksurfaces category for Best of NeoCon 2009.
Compose enhancements - The new Compose desking product, with a specific focus on benching, includes a 29” high panel, power routing and access below the work surface, a frameless glass topper, wood trim components and knife edge work surfaces. The additional panel height allows Compose to be arranged in a variety of applications and provides power and data routing below the work surface and at base locations. The top trim of the panel lines up with the tops of work surfaces providing a simple, clean aesthetic. In addition, this application introduces new 3-way tile spanning kit to eliminate reveal lines typically present at a 3-way junction. For Best of NeoCon 2009, Compose received a silver in the Desking-Benching Enhancements for Furniture Systems.
Haworth also introduced several product enhancements, including:
