Diversity creates opportunities for new partnerships and gives Haworth access to the best and the brightest. Haworth in the United States is comprised of several affiliate companies that manufacture our products using many U.S. parts. Our workforce represents the many faces of America.

We recognize the need to continue expanding the diversification of our management ranks. To locate minority candidates for employment, we use many recruitment methods, and we also make diversity a significant part of our college recruiting strategies.

We also acknowledge that our diversity strategy is a continual process, not a one-time event. That's why we constantly look for ways to improve our strategy, measure our progress, and obtain feedback.

Dealers

The Haworth dealer network is comprised of independent entrepreneurial businesses. This distribution approach has many advantages for Haworth and the communities we serve. An owner operated dealer network provides market by market expertise and supports organizations that represent the communities they serve.

The majority or our sales are generated through our Preferred Dealer network. Within our North American markets 22% of our preferred dealer locations are minority or women owned businesses. In addition, The Haworth Dealers’ Council and the Product Advisory Council include representatives from these dealerships.

Strengthening dealer and channel effectiveness is one of our core corporate goals and includes succession planning for transitioning dealerships. As Haworth further develops succession planning programs, diversity within our dealer network will continue to be a focal point.

Suppliers

Haworth recognizes the value of diversity in the workplace and in the community.  We believe that community enrichment through economic development is smart business, and we are aggressively seeking to increase the participation of minority businesses in our procurement process.

Our Supplier Diversity program is centered on building an awareness of the social responsibility of the company and its individuals  to provide opportunities for Minority businesses.  In addition to building awareness, providing potential sources, member training and supplier assistance activities, the Diversity program also includes individual member objectives.
