HOLLAND, MI – July 31, 2014 – Haworth, Inc. is pleased to announce that the award-winning chair, Harbor Work Lounge, is now available at the Haworth retail store, store.Haworth.com. This hybrid application brings together two cross-functions – part task seating and part lounge chair.
Reflecting the shape of a hand, Harbor Work Lounge provides a patent-pending integrated work surface that includes a sliding plywood tablet and a suede seat wing. The suede secures personal or work items within reach of the user, who stays comfortable in the lounge chair. The angled back and seat height are designed for a relaxed work posture, which reduces stress, increases confidence and stimulates creativity. The chair is height-adjustable, features a cup holder and versatile upholstery options. Designed for maximum productivity and flexibility, the unique design proposal is a modern solution for today’s work and technology culture.
Designed by Nicolai Czumaj-Bront of the Haworth Design Studio, Harbor Work Lounge was honored the Best of NeoCon Silver (2013) in the category of Seating: Collaborative/Work. The chair was also recognized by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) and received a silver award in the Office and Productivity category as part of their International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA®).
The retail store, store.Haworth.com, also features an augmented reality design app for the iPad; users will be able to visualize how a piece of furniture will look in a space before proceeding with any purchase. Customers will also be able to choose to have their orders delivered and assembled, with removal of packaging materials, by selecting the store’s White Glove Delivery option.
Additional information about the Harbor Work Lounge and more can be found on Haworth’s website at Haworth.com.
